I keep getting farther and farther behind on your monthly posts. This past month has been a crazy one. You are continually babbling up a storm, making all sorts of sounds and rolling your tongue like crazy! You definitely love being outside. If I ever ask the dogs if they want to go outside, and you hear me ask, you take off for the door, with your head down, which means that you mean business! Anytime you are crawling, and want to get somewhere fast, your head goes down and you take off! Once outside, you love to just sit and look around, or you crawl right up to the fence, climb up, and start bouncing up and down and saying Aw, aw, aw! Lately, you have been a big help picking weeds with your daddy. We will all go outside and you will spend hours just sitting out there with us, crawling around and picking weeds with him.
You stood on your own on April 7! You were sitting in between your dad and me and just stood up to see what the dogs were barking at. Just like that. Standing up without holding onto anything! Both your daddy and I took in a deep breath, and as soon as you heard us, you smiled and sat right back down! It was a glimpse into what is soon to come, absolute independence. I was completely happy and thrilled for you, but also very sad that soon you will no longer be considered a baby, but a toddler. You also clapped your hands for us for the first time on April 8! I think you are a little behind on mastering that, but then again, you do everything on your own time, and when you finally do get it, you get it! That is what is so great about your little personality. We can try to teach you something over and over again, but you are the one who decides when you are going to do it! You take your time, and are so easy going! I still can't believe how you act when you are sick! No one would know you are not feeling well because you act so happy and are still constantly playing! Nothing gets your mood down, well except when we tell you no!

This month, you have also been testing your boundaries. You will do something again and again, that you know you should not be doing, just to see if we stick to our guns! You love to grab cords, and because it scares your dad and I, we will tell you no and to let go, which you will do, but the next second you are grabbing at it again. We have also been receiving bad reports at daycare of you and your little buddy Beckett getting into trouble. You are pulling the other babies' hair and being just plain rough with them. All your teachers say that you do not do it out of anger, but do it to play with them and to try to pull yourself up! I think it is time to move you up to the next class.....I guess we just have to wait one more month! You love children of all ages, and always smile when we are out and about and you see one, so I know you are not being mean, you just do not understand why they will not play with you! I tease that you do not understand why they won't crawl around with you or respond to you and that it is just because they are trying to learn how to even roll over!alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458886705900581506" />
You are still eating pretty much any baby food without any issues. You were introduced to cheerios about two weeks ago and are in love with them. Forget about the puffs, you want your cheerios! You are a pro at drinking from your sippy cup. You also think that your sippy cup, is the only one that works! The daycare gave you one made just like yours, but all you ever did was throw it! We have since decided we probably should buy more than just one so that you can see that you can drink out of any sippy cup. We have since bought you one with a straw and you love that one just as much. You also finally drank your bottle by yourself for the first time right after you turned 10 months old. While your Nana was watching you, she let you grab your bottle by yourself and she said you tipped it up and tried to drink from it. Of course you weren't able to tip it up high enough so she laid you down and you continued to drink from it. We were so proud. It was interesting that you learned how to drink from a sippy cup by yourself before you learned how to drink from your bottle, but that is probably because we never gave you the chance to drink from your bottle by yourself, we always just did it for you. I have learned, and keep having to learn, that anytime we give you an opportunity to do something by yourself, and learn, you do it so well and catch on quick. Just like that one night a few months ago when we decided to just place you in your crib awake one night, you went to sleep by yourself in minutes and without a single cry! Ever since then, you have been going to sleep on your own.alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458886698264850210" />

You are such a special little boy and I will always say that I cannot believe God gave us such a sweet, beautiful, perfect, angel. If I could have dreamed up the perfect baby, they would not have come even close to you! You amaze me every day, and your dad and I are so lucky to have you in our lives. I can not imagine my life without you. You are such a joy. Thank you for being a part of our lives! We love you sugar!
